Email Hosting Setup & Configuration

If you have purchased a standalone email hosting plan from Wonderweb (or email is included in your hosting), this article helps you set up your email accounts and configure them on your devices. All email services are managed through cPanel.

Creating Your Email Accounts

Since all email hosting is managed via cPanel, you can create and manage email accounts directly there. Follow the steps in our “Managing Email Accounts in cPanel” article.

Accessing Webmail

You can check your email from any browser by going to:

  • https://yourdomain.com/webmail (replace yourdomain.com with your actual domain). (alternative https://webmail.yourdomain.com/ https://wonderweb.host:2096)

Log in using your full email address and password. You can then use Roundcube or other webmail interfaces.

Manual Configuration Settings for Email Clients (Outlook, Gmail, Thunderbird, Mobile)

Use the following secure SSL/TLS settings:

  • Username: Your full email address (e.g., you@yourdomain.com)
  • Password: The email account password
  • Incoming Server (IMAP): mail.yourdomain.com – Port 993 (SSL/TLS)
  • Incoming Server (POP3): mail.yourdomain.com – Port 995 (SSL/TLS)
  • Outgoing Server (SMTP): mail.yourdomain.com – Port 465 (SSL/TLS)
  • Authentication: Required (use the same username and password)

Non-SSL settings (not recommended, but available):

  • IMAP port 143 (no SSL), POP3 port 110 (no SSL), SMTP port 587 (STARTTLS). We strongly advise using SSL/TLS ports.

Calendar and Contacts (CalDAV / CardDAV)

For clients that support CalDAV (e.g., iPhone, macOS, some Android apps):

  • Server URL: https://mail.yourdomain.com:2080
  • Principal URL: https://mail.yourdomain.com:2080/calendars/you@yourdomain.com/
  • Calendar URL: https://mail.yourdomain.com:2080/calendars/you@yourdomain.com/calendar
  • Contact URL (CardDAV): https://mail.yourdomain.com:2080/addressbooks/you@yourdomain.com/addressbook

Replace you@yourdomain.com with your actual email address.

Testing Your Configuration

After setting up your email client, send a test email to yourself. If you receive it, your settings are correct. If not, double-check the server name, ports, and ensure you are using the full email address as the username.
