Creating Custom Hosting Packages & Supporting Clients

As a reseller, you can create your own hosting packages with custom resource limits. This lets you tailor plans to different client needs and price them how you like.

Creating a New Package in WHM

  • Log in to WHM.
  • Go to PackagesAdd a Package.
  • Fill in the details:
    • Package Name: e.g., “Bronze Hosting”
    • Resources: Set disk space (MB), bandwidth (MB), and the number of cPanel accounts allowed (if any – for sub‑reselling).
    • Feature List: You can create custom feature lists (which email, FTP, database options are enabled) in PackagesFeature Manager.
    • Other settings: You can limit email accounts, databases, subdomains, etc.
  • Click Add.

Your new package will now appear when you create a new cPanel account for a client.

Editing or Deleting a Package

Go to PackagesEdit a Package to modify an existing package. Be careful – changes will apply to all accounts using that package, but existing accounts’ limits may need to be synchronised.

To delete a package, first ensure no accounts are using it. Then go to PackagesDelete a Package.

Common Client Issues You Can Fix in WHM

  • Client forgot cPanel password: In WHM, go to Account FunctionsPassword Modification, select the account, and set a new password.
  • Client’s website is slow: Check resource usage in Account InformationView Bandwidth Usage or CPU/Memory usage. If they are hitting limits, upgrade their package.
  • Client cannot send email: Make sure their domain’s MX records are correct and that they have not exceeded the 300 emails per hour limit.
  • Client needs a backup: You can create a full backup for them from BackupBackup Restoration (if you have root backups enabled). Or instruct them to use cPanel’s own backup tool.

When to Contact Wonderweb Support

If you face server‑wide issues (e.g., WHM is down, the server is unreachable, or a core service like Apache or MySQL has stopped), contact our 24/7 support via WhatsApp or email. Provide your reseller username and a description of the problem. We will investigate and fix the infrastructure issue.

For all client‑specific problems (password resets, website errors, email configuration), you should handle them yourself as the reseller.
